UNDP has been the main implementingpartner for the return of displaced people to Kosovo over the past seven years. The
programme is aimed not only at rebuilding houses, but creating a stable and sustainable environment for families so they can remain in Kosovo for the long term. Results 2007
Much of this work has been undertaken in co-operation with the government of Kosovo as it seeks to create the conditions for ethnic minorities to live safely in the region.
The portfolio takes up the majority of UNDPs budget and covers more than 58 projects. It includes the reconstruction
of houses, income generation schemes, and the creation of local schools and medical facilities, all amenities that are vital to make a community self-suffi cient.
Kosovo Judicial/Bar Exam
The project is supporting the Ministry of Justice on the reform of the Judicial/Bar Exam
according to the new legislation

Access to justice
The Access to Justice Report will serve as a starting point for development of the future project on Access to Justice, supporting the Kosovo Judicial Council, the Legal Aid System and the legal awareness programmes which will improve capacities in redressing the justice system.
