Kosovo Mosaic 2012 is the fourth in a series of reports published in 2003, 2006 and 2009, measuring citizens’ perceptions of problems and challenges in their municipalities as well as their satisfaction with public services and with local authorities.
The report provides figures of trend analysis in satisfaction with local authorities (Mayor, Municipal Assembly, and Municipal Administration) and 26 different public services by making comparisons between municipalities and Kosovo’s average. In addition, a profile for each of the 37 municipalities contains information on the following: satisfaction level with 26 public services compared to Kosovo’s average; access to and satisfaction with sanitation and water supply; factors hindering access to healthcare services and satisfaction with healthcare services; satisfaction with preschool, primary, and secondary education; satisfaction with environmental protection and maintenance and usability of green spaces; perceptions on the performance of Public Administration in the issuance of various documents; satisfaction with local authorities; and well-being of households.
The results of the survey provide municipal and central decision-makers, the civil society, as well as international stakeholders including UNDP, with concrete and comprehensive analyses and figures upon which to set future priorities and actions for improving service delivery and ultimately well-being of Kosovan citizens.
